Proactive role in trade bodies

Prysmian leverages its participation in trade bodies to make a transparent contribution to decision-making at institutional level and promote public policies geared towards sustainability, innovation and competitiveness.

  • The Group participates in public debate through industry organizations, dealing with topics such as sustainable finance, sustainable mobility, the circular economy, green technologies and key European environmental policies.
  • Initiatives are supervised by the Investor Relations and Corporate Communication teams, in line with the Code of Ethics and the commitment to transparency in dealings with stakeholders; Prysmian does not make donations to political parties or politicians and is enrolled in the EU’s transparency register.
  • In 2025, the Group paid €2.769 million in fees to trade bodies, supporting organizations such as Sycabel, Europacable, Assolombarda, ZVEI, Assogomma and the UN Global Compact, reinforcing its presence and responsible leadership in the sector.

Leading trade bodies

Regarding the environment, the Group is a member of:

Wind Europe. Over 450 members, including manufacturers, suppliers and academics, have joined forces to promote wind energy throughout the world via research and outreach, seminars and policy guidance.

Global Alliance for Sustainable Energy. Wind Europe. Over 450 members, including manufacturers, suppliers and academics, have joined forces to promote wind energy throughout the world via research and outreach, seminars and policy guidance.

Wash Pledge. By signing up to the Wash Pledge, Prysmian has committed to ensuring access to safe drinking water and adequate levels of sanitation and hygiene in the workplace for all employees across all its sites.

Regarding energy, the Group is a member of:

Europacable represents the world's largest cable manufacturers, in addition to highly specialized small- and medium-sized enterprises, at European institutions, monitoring policy and regulatory debate. Prysmian participates actively in various working groups, playing a leadership role in those with a specific focus on sustainability.

Friends of Sustainable Grids (FOSG). A non-profit association that promotes a pan-European renewable, efficient and large-scale power grid to provide secure and affordable energy. The association mainly focuses on topics such as efficient governance, a harmonized regulatory framework and energy education.

Regarding digital, Prysmian is a member of:

Fibre to the Home (FTTH) Council. Founded in 2004, this group has 150 members and seeks to accelerate the deployment of fiber connectivity. Its vision is of a sustainable future made possible by economic growth generated by new services using high-speed FTTH technology.

European Telecommunications Network Operators’ Association. ETNO's mission is to develop a positive policy and regulatory environment that enables the deployment of state-of-the-art telecommunications networks and the provision of advanced digital services for European citizens and businesses.

Regarding corporate social responsibility, the Group is a member of:

UN Global Compact. Prysmian is a participant of the Global Compact, whose principles and spirit are reflected in the Group’s culture, values and practices. Consistent with the Global Compact’s principles, Prysmian adopts policies and tools that safeguard the environment and human and workers’ rights while supporting local communities and the most vulnerable.

Valore D. This is Italy's first business association promoting gender equality and an inclusive culture to drive growth for companies and the country.

Government relations:

In Italy, the Group is a member of: Confindustria, the main organization representing manufacturing and service companies in Italy; ANIE (National Association of Electrotechnical and Electronic Companies), which brings together strategic players that provide cutting-edge technologies for the Construction, Energy, Manufacturing and Infrastructure sectors); and Assonime, the association that represents listed Italian companies, conducting research and addressing issues affecting the interests and development of the Italian economy.
