What it means for us to be a Public Company

Being a public company with a broad shareholder base consisting of global institutional investors is an integral part of our identity. It means that our Board of Directors interfaces with shareholders and other stakeholders with a view to promoting transparency, meritocracy and ethical conduct, and applies these values throughout the organization on a daily basis. We believe that this approach allows us to support our customers and stakeholders, creating a relationship of trust and responsibility and enabling us to evolve and operate in the market at levels of excellence.

A true public company

Prysmian is one of Italy’s few global industrial manufacturers to have achieved true Public Company status in recent years. Listed on the Milan Stock Exchange since 2007, Prysmian's free float is 100% of its share capital, of which 76% is held by institutional investors. A third of institutional investors are from the United States (31%). UK (27%) and French (12%) funds  have a major presence. Over two thirds (74%) of the share capital is held by investment funds that follow Value, Growth or  GARP (Growth at Reasonable Price) strategies. These investors expect share price growth over the  medium/long-term and consider the current share price to be undervalued given the prospects  offered by the company’s fundamentals.

Being a Public Company means that we must stay close to our stakeholders. Our Board of Directors clearly and transparently discloses our strategic and financial activities, always acting in accordance with current regulations and procedures that govern best practices.

Every year we hold hundreds of meetings with the financial community and our stakeholders. We promptly share our quarterly results and significant information with shareholders, financial analysts and other investors.
