Prysmian on RAI 1: Naples at the heart of the infrastructure that connects Italy with the world

RAI 1 has dedicated an episode of Navigando Lungocosta to Prysmian, taking viewers behind the scenes at the company’s Arco Felice facility in Pozzuoli (Naples), where some of the world’s most advanced submarine cable systems are designed and manufactured.

The program highlights how Naples and Southern Italy have become a strategic hub for the energy and digital infrastructure that connects countries, strengthens energy security and supports the global energy transition. Through exclusive access to Prysmian’s operations, viewers will discover the technologies, people and expertise behind projects that transmit electricity across Europe and beyond.

The episode will air on RAI 1 at 17:10 on Saturday, August 8, 2026.

From its historic manufacturing facility in Arco Felice and its fleet of state-of-the-art cable-laying vessels to the Engineering, Operations, Service & Solutions (EOSS) Center in Palermo, Prysmian has built in Southern Italy a unique ecosystem of industrial, engineering and operational excellence supporting major energy and digital infrastructure projects worldwide.

“Prysmian is the leading provider of solutions for energy and digital connections. Every day, our technologies help transport electricity and data across countries, continents and oceans. Arco Felice is a key part of this mission, combining world-class manufacturing with the specialist capabilities needed to deliver some of the world's most complex submarine cable projects. Together with our fleet of cable-laying vessels, we deliver integrated solutions that strengthen energy security, support the energy transition and enable digital connectivity around the world.”

“Arco Felice has deep roots in its local community, with around 80% of our people living in the surrounding area. This strong connection between our site and the local community is one of the foundations of our success and demonstrates how a highly specialized industrial operation can grow alongside the territory it serves. Every cable produced here represents the expertise, passion and commitment of our people. Knowing that our work helps connect countries, strengthen energy security and enable the energy and digital transition is a source of great pride for everyone at Arco Felice.”
