Milan, Italy   -   Jul 30, 2026 - 07:40 AM   -

Prysmian will appoint Anna Tanganelli as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). She will replace Pier Francesco Facchini, who will leave the Company at the end of 2026 to explore new opportunities.

Tanganelli will join Prysmian on November 2, 2026, from Iveco Group, where she has been Chief Finance & IT Officer since December 2023. With over 25 years in corporate finance and business development, Tanganelli has worked across the United States and Europe in roles for FCA (now Stellantis), CNH Industrial, Magneti Marelli (now Marelli Group) and the Italian multi-utility company Iren before joining Iveco Group. She is currently also a Director of filter solutions manufacturer GVS SpA. Tanganelli started her career at UBS, in the Investment Banking division, working as an advisor on several M&A, equity, and debt capital markets transactions, including the strategic alliance between Fiat Group and Chrysler. She will report to Prysmian’s CEO Massimo Battaini.

Facchini, who was appointed CFO in January 2007, has led the Company's Finance and IT functions from its initial IPO in April 2007 until the present day as Prysmian has become not only the largest player in its sector but has also achieved a remarkable increase in its market capitalization, and delivered substantial value to its stakeholders.

Facchini, who also sits on Prysmian’s Board of Directors, will remain with the Company until the end of the year. He will resign, and leave his seat on the Board, as of January 1, 2027, in accordance with the agreement of mutual consent reached with the Company regarding the end of his employment relationship.

The Board of Directors resolved to defer any decision as to whether to replace Facchini as a Board member considering, among other things, the limited duration remaining in the mandate of the current Board once his resignation becomes effective.

Massimo Battaini, Prysmian CEO: “I welcome Anna to Prysmian. We will benefit from her years of international experience, the positive reputation that she has established within major global listed companies, and her knowledge of both industrial and energy sectors. The responsibility that comes with this role would not be what it is today without Pier Francesco, who leaves us after twenty remarkable years where he has been a partner, a leader and friend. During this time, Prysmian has transformed from an important local cable company to a global reference point for energy and digital infrastructure. Prysmian has built a reputation not only for sound management of our business financially, but also in recent years, accelerated organic and inorganic growth to maximize our full potential. Despite the huge progress, there is still much to do. I look forward to working with Anna, together with our leadership team and 34,000 employees worldwide, to keep generating long-term sustainable value creation.”

Pier Francesco Facchini, Prysmian CFO: “What we have achieved is clearly reflected by the fundamentals of this company – solid, growing, valuable. Hugely respected and trusted by the financial community, and with a culture that’s truly oriented to value creation. I am proud to have played my part over the years, and want to thank all my colleagues, past and present – including our CEO Massimo, our Chairman Francesco and Vice Chairman Valerio, and the entire Board – for their partnership in the remarkable steps that we have made. From our IPO, to the Draka, General Cable, Encore Wire and Channell acquisitions, and beyond, this journey has been truly incredible. Prysmian has a bright future ahead thanks to all we have done, and plan to do. This special journey is like no-other in Italy and I believe it is a global reference for successful long-term value creation. The sense of pride I feel for what we have achieved is immeasurable.”

The Board of Directors, Chairman Francesco Gori, CEO Massimo Battaini and all employees share their sincere gratitude to Pier Francesco for his outstanding contribution and dedication to the Group over the past twenty years.

The agreement with Pier Francesco Facchini was approved by the Board of Directors following the proposal from the Nominations and Remunerations Committee and the favorable opinion of the Related Parties Committee. The agreement includes severance payments for Pier Francesco Facchini for €1,380,000, equivalent to 24 months fixed renumeration, in accordance with the limits set by the Remuneration Policy of the Company, to be settled following the end of employment, without prejudice to any bonuses that may be due as part of the short-term incentive plan and the 2026-2028 GROW Long-Term Incentive Plan, which will be paid pro rata temporis, and in accordance with the respective rules of the plan, and the Company’s Renumeration Policy.

As of today, Pier Francesco Facchini holds no. 406,679 shares in Prysmian.
