Acting for Local Communities

Acting for local communities

Prysmian acts with the intention of contributing to the development of the communities in which we operate, recognizing our mutual dependence. We are committed to supporting their economic, social and cultural development by pursuing a socially responsible business model focusing on the creation of shared value.

Donations

The Group has a Donations procedure aligned with our Vision, Mission, Values, Code of Ethics and policies. This procedure defines the main types of donation that can be made and the related guiding principles and operating procedures, as well as the processes for monitoring and communicating such activities.

Approximately €1 million was gifted to local communities in 2025 in the form of cash donations, donations in kind and volunteer hours.

Support for education and equal opportunities

Prysmian has financed a three-year scholarship program (2024 2026) for ten girls, who were each awarded a grant worth approximately €6,000 to fund their entire secondary education at a national boarding school. In addition to financial support, the students have access to mentoring and coaching programs, boosting the girls’ chances of successfully completing their studies and broadening their future prospects by facilitating access to better jobs and higher education. The initiative reflects Prysmian’s guiding principles: education, inclusion, the enhancement of young talent and equal opportunities.

The Group renewed its commitment to Alice for Children with a donation of approximately €70,000 intended to support various educational and social projects in rundown areas of Nairobi, including a digital school and the “Run for School” campaign at the Milan Marathon. These initiatives aim to create schools and guarantee education, nutrition and protection for children and young people, offering them a real alternative to child labor and improving their future prospects.

Prysmian donated €20,000 to a shelter for women and young families in vulnerable situations, providing protection, support and fresh opportunities for people living in particularly vulnerable circumstances.

The Group donated approximately €86,000 to provide continuous schooling for refugee children and young people. The money raised funds the construction and renovation of classrooms, teacher training, the supply of educational materials and socioeconomic support to families, removing major barriers to education.
