SpeakUp. Our Engagement Survey

Speak Up! Employee Engagement Survey

At Prysmian, listening to our people is crucial. Speak Up is our global employee engagement survey. It gives every employee a voice and helps us build a stronger, safer, and more engaging workplace.

A Modernized Approach with Gallup

As a global leader, we believe it is important to measure ourselves against the highest standards; not only within our own history, but against the best organizations globally. This is why we have chosen to partner with Gallup: a leading global analytics and advisory firm, to deploy a modernized workplace performance platform. This transition moves us from simple satisfaction tracking to a diagnostic approach that identifies the workplace conditions that truly drive performance, leadership effectiveness, and sustainable improvement. This modernized framework is structured around Gallup’s Q12® Engagement Items, which evaluate Basic Needs, Individual Contribution, Teamwork, and Growth, alongside Prysmian-specific critical dimensions such as Safety, Continuous Improvement, Innovation, and Accountability. Gallup serves as our independent third party to strictly guarantee confidentiality and compliance across all phases of the survey.

What’s New in Speak Up

We shift from simple measurement to meaningful organizational change:

  • One Questionnaire for All: A unified survey path designed for both desk workers and non-desk workers.
  • Concise & Scientific: A streamlined, shorter questionnaire focused on scientifically validated items.
  • Faster Online Reporting: Results are made available online, with comprehensive Business Unit reporting delivered in 2025 and granular team-level reporting rolled out in 2027 for highly precise action planning.
  • Action-Oriented Focus: An increased emphasis placed heavily on localized team action planning.
  • Strategic Timeline Adjustment: Following our baseline, we ran a focused pulse survey in September and postponed the next full census to Q1 2027. This ensures teams have time to understand results, build dialogue, and implement meaningful actions before the next full measurement.

Together with our employees around the world, we continue to improve and make Prysmian an even better place to work.

Our Latest Results

The 2025 edition was deployed globally across plants, countries, regions, and divisions. Each area has developed and is implementing its Action Plan.

KEY HIGHLIGHT: Our latest Speak Up survey achieved our best results ever! We reached an exceptional 87% Global Response Rate with 28,472 total participants. To preserve continuity while we transition to this new methodology, we have kept our historical internal Leadership Impact Index (LII) in this edition so we can track it alongside the new results

Employee engagement is about how connected, motivated, and committed employees feel at work, which directly impacts critical business outcomes like productivity, safety, and retention. Because managers account for 70% of the variance in team engagement, post-survey manager coaching and local action planning are vital. Gallup's research demonstrates a strong link between workplace engagement and employee stress, showing that engaged employees are 26% less likely to experience daily stress and 70% less likely to face regular burnout compared to their disengaged peers. Ultimately, engagement serves as a key indicator of workplace support that helps mitigate employee stress.

Beyond Gallup's core Q12® items, Prysmian added a set of company-specific items to capture what matters most to our business: from safety and customer focus to innovation and accountability. These reflect priorities identified by Prysmian leadership

The Leadership Impact Index (LII) is a Prysmian metric from previous survey editions and not part of Gallup's framework. We have kept it in this edition to preserve continuity while we transition to the new methodology, so we can still track this measure alongside the new results.

What Happens Now? ("You SAID, we are DOING")

  • Results Communication: Regional and functional results are openly shared across teams.
  • Manager Webinars: Post-survey guidance sessions (such as "How to Prepare a Plan") are hosted to ground managers in active coaching.
  • Action Planning: Localized team action planning begins immediately, focusing on active teamwork and continuous improvement. Identified action areas are formally presented to show the real impact of employee feedback.
